About
About the Disability Atlas
The Disability Atlas is a free search of disability services and supports in all 50 states and DC, for every kind of disability, for veterans and military families, and for the people who support them. It is built and maintained by ConnectIDD, which supports nonprofits and organizations serving people with disabilities.

One listing can sit in more than one area, so the areas add up to more than the total. General health care (pharmacies, primary care, dentists) is in Search everything but in no area; pick "General health care" in its Area filter. Long-term care settings (nursing homes, assisted living, home health, hospice, and adult day programs) have their own filter on every search.
How listings are checked
Self Verified
The organization confirmed its own listing in the last 12 months, and ConnectIDD checked that the person works there.
Confirmed Profile
ConnectIDD researched the organization against public sources and records how sure it is that the organization is real and active.
Registry Listing
A licensed provider taken from a federal or state registry, such as the CMS NPI registry or a state license file. Nothing beyond the registration has been checked. Registry Listings show only when you ask for them.
Every listing also shows recent activity when public records show it operating in the last 24 months, and names the sources it came from.
How areas and filters work
Every organization lives once in the Atlas and carries tags: the areas it serves, the conditions it focuses on, and who it serves (children and youth, transition age, older adults, caregivers and families, and veterans). Area pages are the same search, focused. Services open to any disability appear in every area, and you can switch them off. Tags come from what the organization says, its federal provider type, its name, and the list it came from, in that order of trust.
Sponsors
Sponsors keep the Atlas free. They appear in a labeled band above results and never decide who is listed, how listings are verified, or the order of results. Meet our sponsors.
Privacy
Searching needs no account. The Atlas counts page views without cookies or IP addresses. Downloads ask who you are once, so ConnectIDD can keep downloads free for people with disabilities and families. Ask a question sends your question to the Atlas service, not to anyone else.
Language
The Atlas uses person-first language by default (people with disabilities) and the names communities use for themselves, such as Deaf and hard of hearing.
